Both Heather Watson and Laura Robson went out of Eastbourne yesterday. Having watched both games I was disappointed that Heather let it slip away after coming back in the second set. She did look a little fatigued and that probably did not help. After gifting Vesnina a five love lead in the third set she did try to come back but it was too late.
Laura did her best against Caroline and I am sure if she gets fitter she will be challenging for a top ten place. Right now both Laura and Heather are on a steep learning curve and I hope they both rise to the challenge without getting demoralis
